About Homelessness

Street homelessness is a broader term than rough sleeping, including people who may have somewhere to sleep at night – a hostel for example – but are on the streets in the daytime. York has a few homeless services such as:

Arc Light strive to aid those who sleep rough or who are at risk of sleeping rough to reintegrate with society and understand and seize the opportunities it has to offer. Arc Light encourage clients to work with other voluntary organisation and social inclusion groups so they have the robust support their often complex issues require.
